Felix Iten is one of the most influential figures in Swiss cannabis medicine. As a co-founder of our Association , his many years of experience and deep commitment have significantly contributed to advancing the medical use of cannabis in Switzerland. His motivation stemmed from illnesses within his family, through which he first became aware of the therapeutic effects of cannabis medicine.
For many years, Felix advised hundreds of people and helped them with his expertise. Since the early years of the Association , he organized monthly patient meetings in Zurich and later in other cities as well. These meetings became important points of contact for those affected, allowing them to obtain current information, exchange experiences, and find answers to their questions.
Felix also represented the Association at numerous trade fairs, tirelessly raising awareness there. Through his efforts, the medical use of cannabis was brought to the attention of a wider audience and its stigma was destigmatized.
Even though Felix is no longer active on the board, his contribution to patients and the development of cannabis medicine in Switzerland remains undisputed. Out of gratitude and recognition for his tremendous commitment, we have appointed him an honorary member of the Association . His role as a pioneer for the medical use of cannabis in Switzerland remains a significant part of our Association 's history, even though he is no longer actively involved.
