MEDCAN is a member of the Swiss Society for Cannabis in Medicine (SGCM) and represents the perspectives of patients. This professional organization is committed to improving access to cannabis-based medicines for people in Switzerland. In collaboration with the SGCM, MEDCAN aims to disseminate evidence-based information and make an objective contribution to policymaking in the field of medical cannabis use.

The FHO University of Applied Sciences Eastern Switzerland, a recognized and accredited educational institution, is committed to training in the field of medical cannabis applications. A key example is the interprofessional continuing education course "Cannabis as Medicine: From Plant to Patient." This event, led by experts, offers not only professional exchange but also a forum for practical questions. As part of this educational initiative, MEDCAN actively contributes to this training.

MEDCAN is a member of this international coalition of patient organizations and advocates for cannabis patients worldwide. The shared goal is the protection and representation of rights and interests in the medical use of cannabis. As an active member, our Association also contributes to the global dialogue among people who use cannabis medically, aiming to change the international perception of cannabis in medicine.

IG MedCann is the association of Swiss manufacturers of cannabis-based medicines and advocates for the association distribution of cannabis for medical use. It works closely with patient organizations, medical and pharmacy associations, government agencies, and health insurance companies to create a favorable environment for cannabis-based medicine. 

Cannabis Medicinalis has supported MEDCAN for years and is the Swiss solution for disseminating knowledge about the medical use of cannabis. Through their events and their collaboration with Copeia, the leading software solution for medical cannabis, they support doctors, pharmacies, patients, and producers/manufacturers in the field of medical cannabis.
