Medical cannabis in everyday clinical practice
Scientific research on cannabis as a medicine is developing rapidly worldwide. A growing number of studies show that cannabinoid-based therapies can be a valuable addition to or alternative to conventional treatments for various diseases. At the same time, the need for sound knowledge about indications, patient selection, prescribing, and therapy management is increasing.
The conference provides an evidence-based overview of the current state of research and uses practical examples to show how medical cannabis is used in everyday clinical practice.

The speakers
Dr. Jimmy Fardin Rocha is an orthopedic surgeon, traumatologist, and knee specialist from Brazil. Since 2020, he has prescribed medical cannabis and is a co-founder of the Brazilian Medical Association of Endocannabinology (AMBCANN). He coordinates training and continuing education programs in the field of cannabinoid medicine and is an international speaker. In 2025, he was awarded the prestigious Elisaldo Carlini Prize for his work.
Dr. MichDonato is a biologicslogin pharmacologylogin with international research experience. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Nottingham (UK) in cannabinoid research and has been working in neuropharmacology, rare diseases, and autism spectrum disorders for many years. As a scientist and lecturer, she is one of the leading experts in cannabinoid research in Brazil.
